To Suh with Love: DT Heading to Dolphins

first_imgMIAMI, FL – Elite Defensive Tackle Ndamukong Suh is going to sign a six-year $114 million contract with the Miami Dolphins, ESPN reported. One of the most coveted free agents in this year’s off-season, Suh is leaving the Detroit Lions and, barring complete formal negotiations breakdown, will head south to Miami, to join a team resplendent in football history – to date the only National Football Team to complete a perfect season (in 1973).The team won its second Super Bowl that year, but hasn’t won one since, even as it flirted with the top prize during the Dan Marino era, its legendary Hall of Fame Quarterback who broke all kinds of passing records but couldn’t take the team all the way to the top.Dolphins owner Stephen Ross was determined to land Suh, the Miami Herald reported. If all goes as expected, the defensive star will bolster a defense that already made its mark a year ago. With much-improved QB Ryan Tannehill coming off a career year, the Dolphins would be poised to return to the playoffs. TweetPinShare0 Shareslast_img read more
