I kept my phone on all night. I would always try very hard to find any dog that is reported missing but everyone helped and pushed even harder because this dog was owned by a child with special needs”.Darcy went missing in Ennis last week when the family stopped at a garage for a coffee. “There was a very loud noise and he just bolted. He was on the lead but got such a fright he just took off,” Frankie explained.Sadia’s mother, Miriam said the Dooradoyle family were delighted that Darcy had been found safe.“The changes that we have seen with Sadia since the dog arrived have been very important for us. Before, going to the beach or just going for a walk was hell because Sadia has no sense of danger – she would just run off or run on to the road. Now she sticks closely to the dog.“She has become very attached to him. We give Darcy commands and she follows him. It means we can do things as a family”, Miriam said. Vijay, Pujara hundreds put India in control

first_img(REUTERS) – Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara both hit hundreds and combined in a stand of 209 to hand India a big first innings lead over Sri Lanka on the second day of the second Test in Nagpur on Saturday. The hosts reached the close of play on 312 for two with Pujara unbeaten on 121 after his 14th Test hundred and had captain Virat Kohli not out on 54 at the other end.The world’s top-ranked test side were ahead by 107 in the first innings after Sri Lanka were bundled out for 205 on the opening day.Vijay, who missed India’s three-Test series in Sri Lanka with injury and was left out of the drawn first match in Kolkata, celebrated his return to the side with 128 runs.He top-edged a full toss from left-arm spinner Rangana Herath to be caught at short fine leg and was the lone success for the Sri Lankan attack after two sessions of fruitless toil.Kohli followed up his unbeaten ton in the last test with his 15th fifty and further deflated the touring side’s morale with his attacking knock, hitting six boundaries, and an unbroken third-wicket partnership of 96 with Pujara.Resuming the Indian innings on 11-1, both Vijay and Pujara were watchful during the first hour’s play and waited for the bad balls for scoring opportunities.Playing at the same ground where he made his debut nine years back, the 33-year-old Vijay square-drove the first ball of the morning for a four.He completed his 10th Test hundred with a single against off-spinner Dilruwan Perera, his innings studded with 11 fours and a six.Sri Lanka had a chance to dismiss him for 19 when the short-leg fielder first floored a sharp chance off Herath and then failed to run out the opener who was well out of his crease. Perera also dropped Vijay on 61 at short mid-on off paceman Lahiru Gamage.Pujara was typically poised at the other end, mostly leaving the deliveries outside his off-stump and offering a dead bat in defence.Perera got the right-hander to edge one on 25 but the ball fell well short of Angelo Mathews at slip. Pujara’s innings was otherwise spotless and he has hit 13 fours in his 284-ball knock so far.Sri Lanka had managed to keep a lid on India’s scoring rate in the first hour of play but it was after the introduction of Perera that India got momentum with both the batsmen attacking the off-spinner who went for 117 runs in 21 overs.SRI LANKA 1st innings 205 (D. Fans can watch the broadcast live from the PPL Facebook Show Page and the PaladinsWorld website.A year on from the Hi-Rez Expo 2017, we asked Hi-Rez Studios Co-Founder Todd Harris how he’d sum up the year gone by for the company. He responded: “I’d say it has been a year of explosive growth for Paladins esports, led by a player community with an appetite for competition.“Looking at this week and weekend alone – we have all 10 Premier League teams competing in the $50,000 Fall Finals this week, followed by Wildcard Qualifiers for the World Championship this Saturday and Sunday. Oh and also an AVGL college LAN finals match this weekend. Plus a number of high school tournaments, third party and community tournaments all over the globe.”We also tasked Todd with naming his predictions for the finals, and he told us: “Both NA and EU have been very competitive but I’ll give a slight edge to SK Gaming. “I’ll also say both China and Australia are looking very strong coming into the World Championship this January so that will be an amazing competition.”Indeed SK have performed strongly in the PPL with only one defeat in eight games, whilst Splyce have endured a rough time picking up not a single victory. Over in Europe, Fnatic topped out the group with NiP and Na’Vi following closely behind. The Paladins Premier League is a joint collaboration between WESA and Hi-Rez Studios and was only announced in late August this year. Esports Insider says: Hi-Rez head honco Todd Harris might be a believer in SK Gaming who have certainly been impressive but we have to throw impartiality out the window and back our home-city org Fnatic. We’ll be watching to see if who’s proven correct over the next few days.last_img read more
